Construction of the 4-star Prestige Congress Hotel in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat

Construction of a hotel building with two underground levels, a first floor, and nine additional floors with capacity for 160 rooms plus a rooftop level. Floor area of structure 16,360 m2 and 6,740 m2 of infrastructure.

Perimeter foundation for the two underground levels with concrete core walls and piles in situ capped with reinforced concrete pillars. The structure up to ground level is made out of reinforced concrete pillars and slabs, starting at the first floor, the central body of the building is in the shape of a half-moon with a metal structure and corrugated metal panels. Facades of insulating lacquered aluminum panels with periodic areas enclosed with curtain walls. Inverted roof with a gravel finish.

The interior dividing walls are made of drywall with a galvanized steel profiling and perforated brick partitions in the hidden areas. Sound isolating doors rated to 45 dB are used on the entryways of rooms paneled with Wenge wood.
 

There is Topakustic acoustic dampening in the rooms; the bathrooms have white 20 x 20 cm tiles, and the public areas have Wenge wood paneling, natural stonework, plaster and interior paint; and the rooms with Pladur finish are painted with Sabula paint.
The second to tenth floors, in both rooms and hallways, have glueddown carpet flooring, the reception and the public areas have natural stone flooring, the inside of rooms have parquet flooring, and the bathrooms and service areas have stone tiles.

The ceilings in the service areas and the second to tenth floors are made out of continuous 13 mm laminated plaster panel finished with latex paint. The first floor’s reception area and meeting rooms have continuous Topakustic removable ceiling panels, and the underground parking levels are finished with slabs with two coats of latex paint.
