The construction process of a new Emergency Unit for Granollers Hospital has included all the stages of drawing up the project, both basic and executive, as well as the management and execution of the work using industrialised procedures.
The LEAN methodology has been used with an IPD (Integrated Project Delivery) approach to optimise time and resources. BIM systems have also been used for modelling and design.
In total there are 14,740.24 m² of total built area.

In this phase, the Emergency building is being built, occupying the entire ground floor of 4,390.69 m² with 90 care points plus a floor spanning 2,514.16 m² for the critical, semi-critical and ICU pandemic areas. With capacity for 40 beds, 20 are reserved for structural critical cases in 10 cubicles that can be doubled.
The following works are included in the project:

  • Excavation of the site and retaining wall in situ.
