Adaptation of the old Veterinary School building into a new rector’s office at the University of Cordoba

Restoration of a building originally constructed in the early 20th century.

The building has a basement and three stories. The ornamentation of the roof corbeling was crafted from wood while the structure is made of concrete.

The structure was reinforced and the alcoves of the original structure were rebuilt on the facade. Every element that required restoration to preserve its aesthetic value was restored.

The repairs to the floor surface on the ground floor were done with Macael marble, with pictures and borders made using other colors of marble. The walls were restored with stucco, coffered wood was used on the ceiling of the second floor, and the ceiling in the administrative areas was made out of Armstrong-type ceiling panels.

The window frames were made out of aluminum framing, adapted to match the rounded alcoves of the facade.
