Works to remove architectural barriers to improve overall accessibility and road widening works on Calle del Marqués de Lozoya, Phase II. This project is part of the Framework Agreement for repair and conservation works on public buildings and spaces under the authority of the Retiro District of the City Council of Madrid.

Located in the Retiro district of Madrid, Calle del Marqués de Lozoya requires a comprehensive intervention including adaptations to the urban infrastructure, remodelling the width of pavements and the road and the removal of architectural barriers. The works include:
  • Demolition of pavements and removal of existing street furniture
  • Felling of existing trees and planting of 11 Celtis australis.
  • Conversion of road-level vehicle lanes to pavement-level vehicle lanes.
  • Upgrading pedestrian pavements.
  • Improving the surface drainage network.
  • General urban development with granite terrazzo paving and paving stones.
  • Creation of a fitness circuit.
  • Installation of new street furniture with benches, bins, bollards and fencing.
  • Installation of a new drip irrigation system.
  • Adaptation of the lighting network to the new layout of the development.
  • Improvement of the road surface and both vertical and horizontal signage.
This project is included in the Framework Agreement for refurbishment, repair and conservation works on all public buildings and spaces under the authority of the Retiro District of the City Council of Madrid, Plot 4: Public Spaces.
