Manufacturing design, assembly and commissioning: 4 sludge conveyor screws, 1 sand and grease removal bridge, 1 sludge thickener, 2 decantation bridges, 1 grease and floating material separator and 2 manual wall mounted sluices.

These works are set within the investment by Canal de Isabel II of 10.2 million euros in improvement and extension of the water supply system in the municipalities of Valdemanco and Bustarviejo. Coutex, Equipos y Proyectos, S.A., that have performed the design, manufacturing and assembly of all the pre-treatment and primary treatment equipment of the Bustarviejo WWTP owned by Canal de Isabel II.

In the manufacturing process, all the equipment was inspected by the firm Lloyd's Register according to the respective inspection point programmes: LRP-601 for decanters, LRP-607 and 603 for sand removal bridges, LRP-606 for grease and floating material collectors.

Technical data

Sand and grease removal bridge 

1 PLS bridge. Tank length 6 m, bridge length 2.65 m. Sweep and ramp scrapers and evacuation ramp of AISI 304L stainless steel.

Gyrating decantation bridge  

2 PG bridges. Diameter 10 m, peripheral action. Bottom scraper, floating material sweep, central hood, spillway and perimeter channel of AISI-316 stainless steel.

Grease concentrator

1 BS concentrator. Nominal flow 10 m3/h. Total length, 2.43 m. Vat, spillage sheet and carbon steel scrapers S275JR.
