Construction of the gratings of the discharge canal at the El Torito Hydroelectric Power Plant in Costa Rica. The company Gas Natural was awarded contract for construction and operation for a period of 20 years.

The project consists of the construction of the canal gratings, purchased from the company by Gas Natural. This includes two gratings that are 11.3 m high and 6.9 m wide, each divided into four modules. They have been manufactured in galvanized carbon steel and are designed to allow maximum flow of 160 m³/s per grating and seismic movement of 0.36 g.

The gratings can be removed using a system of guides and sliding wheels with a clamp beam, all of which is supplied by the company. The plant is located on the right bank of the Reventazón River and has nominal capacity of 50 MW.
