Coloured asphalt with the properties of conventional asphalt. Fircolor is a coloured hot bituminous mix formed by a binder, aggregates and pigments. Thanks to its different design possibilities and range of pigments, it is possible to break away from the conventional look of classic asphalt mixes and achieve different colour schemes. Fircolor is a hot, coloured bitumen mix consisting of a synthetic binder, aggregate and pigments. During mixing, all the aggregate particles are coated with a homogeneous film of binder in the required shade.

Variety of Fircolor mixes

Different results can be obtained thanks to the possibility of combining aggregate and pigment shades.

All the components (aggregates, filler, pigment and binder) are blended during mixing at the plant so all particles are covered by a homogeneous film of binder in the desired colour. A wide variety of coloured paving can be achieved without compromising the mechanical properties of a conventional asphalt mix.
Application and uses

The Fircolor mix can be spread and compacted using conventional methods.
It has a wide variety of uses thanks to it being a creative pavement that retains the mechanical properties of conventional bituminous mixes.
For example, it can be applied in public squares, car parks, bike lanes and rural roads to minimise the visual impact.

Fircolor drainage

A drainage mix design can be used to provide a solution for tree pits and pavements that need to be permeable.
