The project consisted in the connection between the water purification stations of Llobregat (Abrera) and Ter. Pipeline and pumping station between the Fontsanta tank and the B-23 motorway.

Joint Venture: Acsa, Befesa y Six Constructor.

Construction of the half-buried pumping station Fontsanta, with the following approximate measures 8,20m x 41,65m x 21,20m and a reinforced concrete structure.
Construction of the pipelines between Fontsanta and the B-23 motorway, as well as the connection with the existing artery; nominal diameter 2.400mm and the pipeline bypass of the pumping station.

The installation of an anti-water hammer drive system, including a pressure surge with a 6,5m interior diameter and an approximate height of 37m.

Likewise, the pipeline and the connecting pipes to the Fontsanta tanks, the connection to the Abrera tanks, electric control and automation installations, restoration of affected services, roads and pavements, and environmental impact corrective measures were implemented.

A 2.066m helical welding steel pipe, with an exterior coating made out of an extruded polypropylene with three layers and the inner lining was painted with polyurethane paint. It was also set up the pumping with a total installed capacity of 3,600 kW and a design pressure of 100 m.c.a.
