Works to be performed include operation and maintenance of the filtering systems, aimed at ensuring their proper functioning and guaranteeing the quality of the filtered water.

Peralada Sanitation System

This sanitation system is comprised of a WWTP and an external pump. The system collects wastewater from the urban area of Peralada.
The WWTP is designed to treat flows of 693 m³/day and to provide service to 4,002 residents. It is comprised of a low-loading activated sludge bioreactor, with elimination of nitrogen and phosphorus.

Agullana Sanitation System

This system does not have a high-level collector system, meaning that wastewater arrives at the WWTP by gravity. The system provides service to the entire municipality of Agullana.
The WWTP handles flow of 204 m³/day for 1,003 residents.

Navata Sanitation System

This sanitation system is comprised of the WWTP, two external pumps (EB Navata and EB Torremirona) and 4 km of high-level collectors. The system provides service to the town of Navata and the Torremirona golf development.
The Navata WWTP was designed to manage a flow of 790 m³/day in summer and 280 m³/day in winter, for a population of 3,950. The plant has two reactor lines with concentric decanters. The system uses a low-loading activated sludge biological process, with elimination of nitrogen.
