Barcelona, 4 November 2025 – Sorigué is returning for the fourth time to the world’s leading international event for cities, Smart City Expo World Congress 2025, taking place from 4 to 6 November in Barcelona. The company aims to share its knowledge and expertise by presenting and discussing trending topics in urban transformation.

Roundtables and discussions

Over the three days of the congress, Sorigué is hosting a series of talks organised around five key themes: urban transformation toward climate resilience; innovation and efficiency in the water cycle; industrialisation and digitalisation in municipal management; circular economy and infrastructure sustainability; and energy efficiency and city decarbonisation.

In a debate-friendly format featuring roundtables and dialogues, Sorigué professionals join leading experts from each sector to offer a comprehensive, expert perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the future of cities. 

The programme includes 22 external speakers and 21 internal ones, highlighting the value of the company’s in-house talent and experience. All sessions are introduced or moderated by executives from various areas of the company, reflecting Sorigué’s full organisational commitment to this event.

Solutions for water reuse in cities  

At its stand, Sorigué is showcasing a model that integrates several initiatives for water reuse in urban settings. The featured solutions include commercially available products, such as prefabricated permeable concrete cobbles, as well as pilot-stage innovation projects like research into porous asphalt (Bitsdrain) and a smart vertical garden. This last product incorporates an innovative approach based on water reuse through hydraulic equipment technology, demonstrating Sorigué’s innovation DNA and its commitment to continuous improvement and cross-area synergies.  

The prototype makes it possible to see firsthand how these solutions contribute to more efficient and sustainable water resource management – a critically important issue given the challenges posed by climate change.
