Sorigué Shares Its Experience in Maintenance and Upgrading of Healthcare Infrastructure

October 10, 2025

The group is participating for the second consecutive year in the National Congress of Engineering in the Healthcare Sector, held in Málaga, Andalusia.

The 42nd edition of the congress, held from 8 to 10 October at the Málaga Regional University Hospital, brought together more than 2,200 professionals to discuss key industry topics such as artificial intelligence, energy efficiency, and hospital innovation.

In this context, Sorigué presented its solutions for comprehensive maintenance of healthcare facilities using specialised teams. It also showcased its services in the repair and care of critical installations, as well as its experience with new technologies for incident management and tracking.

This marks the second time the group has maintained a presence at this leading event for professionals and companies in healthcare engineering and architecture. In 2024, it participated in Seville, Andalusia, and it is already preparing to attend in Bilbao, Biscay, in 2026.

Teams from Urban Spaces South, Central and Levante, and Installations and Technology from the City area took part, travelling from cities including Seville, Huelva, Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, and Lleida, among others, to network and identify synergies with clients and suppliers.

National presence

This year’s event allowed Sorigué to strengthen relationships with current and potential clients such as the Huelva Hospital Platform, Reina Sofía University General Hospital

in Murcia, Granada Hospital Platform, Primary Care Management of the Madrid Regional Health Department, and Seville Hospital Platform, among others.

Through its Urban Spaces and Installations and Technology business lines, Sorigué carries out construction and renovation projects for hospitals and healthcare centres. Currently, it is executing the custody unit for inmates at the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital in Seville and handling the renovation of various healthcare centres in Huelva according to their specific requirements.

In addition, Sorigué is responsible for the maintenance of hospital centres with teams specialised in biosafety protocols and 24/7 availability for incident response, comprehensive maintenance, and tracking via CMMS (GMAO) software. In this field, standout clients include the Sant Joan University Hospital in Reus, Tarragona.

This extensive experience in both maintenance and construction has enabled Sorigué to respond to exceptional situations, such as the COVID-19 Pandemic, with the record-time construction of a module for the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital in Badalona, Barcelona, or to handle specialised requests like transforming the pharmacy at La Ribera Hospital in Valencia into a cleanroom under strict hygiene and sanitary conditions.
