Sorigué Reaffirms its Commitment to Urban Innovation at CIM 2025

December 12, 2025

The business group participated as a sponsor and exhibitor at the congress, which has become a key meeting point for local government professionals, companies, and institutions leading innovation at the local level.

Representatives from Sorigué’s City business area and its Infrastructures and Materials division took part in the IX National Congress of Municipal Engineers (CIM 2025) on 11 December at CosmoCaixa in Barcelona.

Organised by the Institute of Construction Technology of Catalonia (ITeC), the congress has established itself as a strategic gathering place for technical officers and the companies, institutions, and organisations driving innovation in local settings.

Sorigué’s participation in CIM 2025 as a sponsor reinforces its commitment to urban innovation, sustainability, and collaboration with local administrations, solidifying its role as a benchmark in engineering solutions aimed at improving urban life. In addition, the business group participated as an exhibitor, showcasing its sustainable solutions in precast elements as well as in pavements under its Calcel brand.

The event facilitated the discovery of new technological trends, the creation of synergies, and the generation of innovative ideas applicable to the municipal sphere.

In this regard, key institutions from the region took part, including the Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona City Council, AMB, Associació Catalana de Municipis, COAC, and CATEB, among others. Also present were leading companies in the sector such as Cofunco, Evowall, Hormipresa, Molecor, Soprema, Moventis, and PTV Group.

About CIM 2025

Under the motto “The City You Imagine, You Build,” the event addressed the main challenges cities face in this period of profound change, structured around four thematic tracks: housing, urban planning, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.

As in previous editions, the congress was aimed at local engineering professionals, municipal managers, urban service companies, political representatives, and anyone interested in improving municipal management through engineering. Its goal is to promote and consolidate the integration of environmental criteria and their practical application.
