Airports in Madrid and Barcelona, the Rungis market in Paris, the Brest seaport, and countless roads in both countries trust Calcel to extend the lifespan of their pavements and resolve anchoring issues in cast iron manhole covers, inspection chambers, and grates. 

This trust has crossed borders, and today Calcel products can be found in Italy, Portugal, and the Netherlands, as well as in certain cities in Mexico and French overseas territories in the Americas, such as French Guiana and Martinique, alongside Haiti. 

Ten Years with Sorigué 

Calcel originated in France and joined the Sorigué group in 2016. Its industrial production takes place at the La Plana del Corb complex in Balaguer, Lleida – a strategic location

where aggregate extraction and production centres converge with facilities for bituminous mixtures, emulsions and derivatives, and the Materials Research Laboratory. 

This laboratory ensures batch traceability, product consistency, and ongoing innovation for Calcel by improving performance and developing new solutions. 

Using its own machinery and state-of-the-art equipment, Calcel not only manufactures specialised products for road repairs but also produces pre-dosed mixtures of selected aggregates and resins for installing Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) – ideal for managing rainwater in urban environments. 

As it approaches its tenth anniversary as Sorigué’s in-house brand, Calcel offers a catalogue of more than 20 SKUs and has become a key ally for local and regional administrations, road maintenance centres, and distributor groups.
