Sorigué carries out road maintenance contracts worth more than 18 million euros
The group is responsible for the maintenance and repair of infrastructure in regions such as Castile and León, Andalusia, Aragon, and Catalonia.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MS), through the Directorate General of Roads (DGC), continues to trust Sorigué for the maintenance of state motorways. Throughout 2025, it has awarded or renewed contracts with the business group totalling more than 18.5 million euros.
In the province of Soria, the award includes maintenance and operation tasks, while in Catalonia, repair works are being carried out on various structures.
Roads in Soria
With an award of 8.5 million euros, Sorigué renews its commitment for five more years to maintenance services on several roads in the province of Soria.
The tasks include operations to ensure road safety and traffic flow, urgent rehabilitations, and specific works such as repairing the paving on the N-2 motorway at the A-2 exit to Esteras de Medinaceli, the A-2 exit to Medinaceli west, and the roundabout connecting to the N-111.
This contract is executed by the Sorigué group company Acsa Conservación in a joint venture (UTE) with Construcciones Beltrán Moñux.
Viaducts on the A-2
The Directorate General of Roads has commissioned the company to repair the La Juncosa viaduct on the A-2 in the province of Barcelona.
The contract is worth 4 million euros and involves waterproofing and replacing expansion joints on the decks at the points crossing the Anoia River, the Panadella and Rubió streams, the Torrent de Lloret, and the Barranco de Hospital.
The works also include detecting and repairing structural defects, replacing slabs, and carrying out signage and beaconing on the affected structures, among other actions.
Structures in Catalonia
The maintenance and repair of state road network structures passing through Catalonia is a contract that the DGC renews with the Sorigué group for nearly 6 million euros and a five-year duration.
The works must be carried out on structures of three or more metres in height, such as large bridges, footbridges, and pedestrian underpasses.
Among the works are the replacement of support devices, adaptation of containment systems, repairs to drainage systems, and replacement or repair of beams.
Given the wide variety of structures and the possible incidents that may arise, the contract covers all types of repairs in concrete, masonry, metal, and mixed materials.
Benchmark in conservation
For more than 25 years, Sorigué has been a benchmark in the conservation and operation of road infrastructures, specialising in winter road maintenance. Currently, the Conservation business line, within the Infrastructures and Materials area, executes conservation contracts in Andalusia, Catalonia, Aragón, and Castile and León.
Among its recent awards are the maintenance of the Eix Transversal (C-25) in Catalonia, the A-2 motorway between Lleida and Barcelona, the upkeep of a section of the Aragonese Autonomous Network, and the conservation of roads in the southern zone of Málaga and the eastern zone of Córdoba, among others.
From October 2024, and for the first time at a national level, Conservation endorses its technical solvency in the domain of BIM (Building Information Modelling) methodology for the control of singular works such as viaducts, tunnels, and bridges.
In fact, Sorigué is a pioneer in presenting the UNE-EN ISO 19650-1:2019 and UNE-EN ISO 19650-3:2020 certifications for the digitalisation of assets in conservation and maintenance contracts for civil engineering works.
Thanks to this advantage, the group’s clients can rely on a systematic inventory of all the elements that configure the structures intervened by Conservation to carry out reliable and precise monitoring.
