The Conservation Division Awarded for Its Contribution to Occupational Road Safety

September 17, 2025

The Regional Institute for Health and Safety at Work (IRSST) of the Community of Madrid has recognised the group’s effectiveness in managing road risks within the workplace.

The Community of Madrid, through the IRSST, has awarded Sorigué a diploma certifying its participation in the “2025 Recognition for Advances in Occupational Road Safety” programme.

Through its company Sorigué Acsa Conservación, the group achieved the highest score in the programme, standing out as a leader in effectively managing road risks in a professional environment.

“This recognition solidifies our commitment to road safety and rewards its integration into preventive measures to promote safe and responsible mobility,” explains Anna Leal Bosch, Head of Conservation, Maintenance, and Operation of Structures and Urban and Road Infrastructure at Sorigué.

Lorena Giménez Peña, CPA technician for the Infrastructure and Materials division, received the diploma from Teresa Moreno Carmona, Head of the IRSST’s Training and Awareness Technical Unit.

This entity manages the preventive policies of the Community of Madrid, focusing primarily on advising companies to improve health and safety conditions and reduce occupational accident rates.

Commitment to worker protection

Currently, Sorigué’s Conservation business line is responsible for the upkeep of regional and national motorways across Andalusia, Catalonia, Aragon, and Castile and León.

As part of its commitment to road safety and staff health, the division recently introduced personal protective equipment (PPE) that ensures the highest level of efficacy against chemical and biological agents. This development earned a special mention at the 21st National Acex Awards for Safety in Conservation, one of the sector’s most prestigious events.

A pioneer in implementing BIM technology in civil engineering maintenance contracts, Sorigué is a national benchmark for infrastructure operations and a specialist in winter road maintenance.

Among its recent projects are the repair of the La Juncosa viaduct on the A-2 in the province of Barcelona, the maintenance and repair of state motorway structures in Catalonia, the care of a section of the Aragonese Regional Network, and the conservation of roads in the province of Soria, the southern area of Málaga, and the eastern area of Córdoba, among others.
