Sorigué Takes on Urban Incident Resolution in Seville

September 4, 2025

The Southern Urban Spaces team will be responsible for addressing any emergencies that could disrupt the city’s functioning or compromise the quality of its public spaces.

The Seville Municipal Government has awarded Sorigué the contract for handling potential incidents in its infrastructure over the next two years, with an option for extension.

The Southern Urban Spaces team within the City division is committed to providing fast, efficient, and well-coordinated responses to resolve issues that could affect quality of life in public spaces.

Depending on their level of urgency, situations are classified into three types of intervention, with a guaranteed resolution in under 72 hours in each case.

Inspection, monitoring, and resolution of urgent incidents help minimise risks to public safety or the normal functioning of the city. The service is delivered through 18 Mobile Itinerant Units (UMI) equipped with technical personnel and electric vehicles, and is coordinated via a digital platform.

Incidents can be reported by citizens through various available channels (phone, email, mobile app, mobile units, or local service points), identified during routine inspections by UMI patrols, or communicated by other municipal services.

The service covers a wide range of infrastructure, including: Roadways, pavements, and bike lanes; Trees and parks; Mobility, transport, and accessibility; Street furniture and public lighting; Water supply and sewerage; Waste collection, street cleaning, and animal and pest control.

Sorigué in Seville

The delivery of urban services in the Andalusian capital has strengthened in recent years through major contracts such as the maintenance of the Seville City of Justice, where the perfect operation of facilities and supply systems is ensured.

Another highly significant institution that has awarded maintenance tasks to Sorigué is the University of Seville, with work covering plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, security, and fire protection systems, among others.

In the healthcare sector, Sorigué is also standing out thanks to the construction of a custody unit for inmates at the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital. The project includes a hospitalisation area, waiting room, and site work for the surrounding area, while incorporating all the security measures required for a penitentiary facility.
