Sorigué participates in the main road maintenance forums

March 22, 2023

Sorigué’s conservation team was present at the 11th Winter Roads Day and the 32nd Road Week, two of the most important meetings of the sector in Spain.

During the month of March, Sorigué participated as a sponsor and speaker in different communications at the 11th Winter Roads Day and the 32nd Road Week, with the aim of contributing its experience and knowledge in road maintenance.

“At Sorigué we carry out a necessary and sustainable activity, as conservation contributes decisively to the social and economic development of a country. Therefore, our participation in these conferences allows us to position ourselves at a national level, share the technological advances we are developing with other organisations, strengthen ties with our current clients and make ourselves known to potential clients”, explained Victor Solanes, Sorigué’s Director of Maintenance.

A delegation from the Sorigué maintenance team and the entire infrastructures and materials department was present at both events to share their experience and knowledge with the different players in the sector.

11th Winter Roads Day

Anna Leal, Head of Road Maintenance at Sorigué, participated as a speaker at the 11th Winter Roads Day on Tuesday 14 March, in her conference entitled “Digitisation with GIS methodology for the planning and monitoring of winter road works with snow ploughs.”

The event, organised by the Technical Road Association (ATC) and held in León from 14 to 16 March, brought together more than 500 experts in the field of road management to discuss the most significant challenges of winter road maintenance and the influence of this activity on the safe mobility of citizens.
32nd Road Week

The 32nd Road Week, organised by the Spanish Road Association (AEC), took place in Madrid from 21 to 23 March with the support of the Community of Madrid through its Department of Transport, Infrastructures and Housing.

On this occasion, Anna Leal spoke about the advantages of jointly applying BIM and GIS methodology in road maintenance in her conference “The roads to come: keys to the process of digitisation.”

The new edition was held at the Espacio Pablo VI in Madrid under the slogan “Functional adaptation for sustainable mobility”, and addressed major topics of debate such as sustainable mobility, digitisation and security.
