Sorigué showcases its good practices in the employment of people with disabilities

September 18, 2023

During the “Sí i millor. L'Èxit de les empreses inclusives i com aconseguir-ho” event, the Sorigué group explained the foundations of its strategy to generate value through the management of diverse teams, with full inclusion in its various areas of business.

The Catalonian Federation of Special Work Centres (FECETC) and the CIES foundation have organised the event "Sí i millor. L’Èxit de les empreses inclusives i com aconseguir-ho”, where Sorigué stood out as a great example of good employment practices.

The event was held on 18 September at the Foment del Treball headquarters and involved the participation of companies from various sectors, which explained their experience in promoting the professional development of people with disabilities. At this forum, José Antonio Martin, Managing Director of the Bequal Foundation, stressed the importance of valuing this component within a global corporate strategy.

Eloi Baró, Director of Administration and Employee Relations at Sorigué, participated in the good business practices round table. During his speech, he highlighted the group’s commitment to generate professional opportunities with a high social impact. Sorigué has obtained the Plus level of the Bequal seal, which not only certifies its compliance with quotas for the employment of people with disabilities, but also its aim to exceed this percentage, and ensure full integration in all areas of the organisation.

Employing people with different levels of disabilities is a priority for Sorigué and, from its governance policies to its human resources management, it promotes numerous internal initiatives that recognise the value of forming teams that are both diverse and inclusive.

Also participating in the same round table were Óscar Sambola, Human Resources Director of Corporate Services at Mutua Terrassa; Alina Beldean, technician at the Special Employment Centre of Groupe Armonia; Zobeida Duben, Director of Talent Management at NTT Data; and Dulcinea Meijide, Director of Diversity at Agbar. Under the moderation of Doctor Isabel Vidal from the Universitat de Barcelona-CIES, the business representatives all agreed on the need to promote more spaces for dialogue that include all perspectives on issues of diversity, equity and inclusion.

With this objective in mind, FECETC and the CIES foundation are preparing the 'Sí, i Millor' fair, which will take place on 4 and 5 October at the Montjuïc exhibition centre. This key event for the sector will foster relations between people with disabilities, ordinary companies and Special Work Centres (CETs), helping to integrate them into the employment market.
