Sorigué completely refurbishes a building to create 53 dwellings in Madrid

August 7, 2023

The construction project consists of a building with five floors above ground and two below ground, with a total refurbishment area of 6,238.20 m².

Sorigué has begun work during this first half of the year on the comprehensive refurbishment of a five-storey building in Calle Vizconde de Matamala, in the city of Madrid, with the aim of giving it a residential use and creating 53 dwellings.

The work consists of fitting out the interior and exterior of the block for the investment manager Persepolis Investments. The plot consists of a five-storey building above ground level with two additional storeys below ground level. The total area for refurbishment is 6,238.20 m².

The work will modify the vertical communication cores and will serve to create two plot courtyards and reconfigure the roof cassettes and interior layout. Ten dwellings will be located on the first floor, twelve on the second to fourth floors and seven on the fifth floor.

The two floors below ground level will be used for parking and utility rooms. Community areas will be created for the gym, bicycles and charging personal mobility vehicles (PMVs) on the ground floor.  Air conditioning equipment, utility rooms and photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof floor.
