Sorigué Joins the Spanish Network of Healthy Companies (REES)

July 23, 2025

Through initiatives focused on health promotion, Sorigué’s Urban Spaces business unit reaffirms its commitment to creating work environments that support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of its employees.

Sorigué’s Urban Spaces business unit has joined the Spanish Network of Healthy Companies (REES), promoted by the National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INSST).

Established in 2013, this network seeks to promote a new approach to occupational health management centred on people. Participating organisations commit to improving workplace well-being by fostering a culture of health.

Sorigué has joined through this business unit, which specialises in city services and operates in Catalonia, Aragon, Madrid, the Region of Valencia, and Andalusia via its companies Acsa and Constraula.

Going beyond mere compliance with occupational risk prevention regulations, REES promotes Health Promotion in the Workplace (PST) – a comprehensive approach involving actions that positively impact physical, mental, and social well-being while encouraging a healthier work environment.

Luxembourg Declaration

In this context, the Luxembourg Declaration is especially important. This document, agreed upon by the European Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP), has been signed by Sorigué’s Urban Spaces unit as part of its talent retention strategy.

To reduce absenteeism rates, the company is implementing a series of measures centred on motivation, training, and well-being. These are currently being rolled out first in the Urban Spaces business line, with plans to extend them in the medium term to other lines within the City area – such as Green Infrastructure and Facilities and Technology – as well as the rest of the group.

Sorigué is a business group with 70 years of history, deeply committed to society and the environment. It prioritises sustainability and innovation through its activities in Water, City, Industry, Infrastructure and Materials, Construction, and Energy.

The group operates more than 15 active companies and employs over 3,500 people distributed across the Iberian Peninsula through its various regional offices.
