Sorigué Joins ‘Chapter Clima’, Barcelona Global’s Roundtable on Sustainable Solutions
This initiative by the Barcelona Global association brings together around one hundred business leaders committed to tackling the challenges of climate change.
In a move to foster corporate synergies and transform Barcelona into a much greener and more liveable city, Sorigué has joined ‘Chapter Clima’, Barcelona Global’s new sector-specific working group.
Through this initiative, Barcelona Global aims to address the challenges of the ecological transition by moving from ideas to concrete action. To achieve this, it has brought together approximately one hundred participants from various business sectors and organised them into four working groups: mobility, services, industrial infrastructure, and building & construction.
Through its CSR and Compliance Department and its Northern Urban Spaces unit, Sorigué is participating in the last of these groups, which focuses on energy efficiency in urban spaces.
In this area, Sorigué brings extensive experience in the construction, maintenance, and renovation of facilities, installations, and buildings using sustainability and innovation criteria.
One year of work
Over the course of a year, participants will share experiences and analyse best practices that have a direct impact on water and energy consumption, the circular economy, and waste management. The goal is to identify opportunities for improvement and promote cross-sector collaboration.
“We want to mobilise the city’s business talent and knowledge to drive real, measurable solutions that create tangible change,” said Ramon Agenjo, president of Barcelona Global, during the official presentation of ‘Chapter Clima’.
The initiative aligns with the European mission of climate-neutral cities and the metropolitan resilience objectives of “reducing emissions, improving air quality, and strengthening economic competitiveness.”
This is the second sector-specific working group launched by Barcelona Global, following the introduction last year of ‘Chapter Life Sciences’, aimed at connecting innovation, business, and public administration.
