The municipality of Blanes, Girona, has inaugurated the Specialized Intervention Services (SIE). Thanks to the work of Sorigué’s Urban Spaces division, the former Radio Blanes premises was remodelled and delivered to the community in a record time of three months, compared to the projected four-month timeline.  

The SIE is part of the Department of Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat of Catalonia, aiming to provide 24-hour care to those affected by gender-based violence. Blanes joins the municipalities of Vic (Osona) and Tàrrega (Urgell), which have also recently opened their SIEs, complying with regulations requiring this service in every province.  

To ensure a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment, the renovation considered the needs of users by defining work and rest areas and creating seven rooms for different purposes. The renovation included upgrades to plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning systems, prioritizing natural light in every space.
 

Presence in Girona  

The delivery of this rehabilitation marks a new milestone in the establishment of Sorigué’s City division in the province of Girona. In recent years, Sorigué has diversified its presence in the province with projects across various sectors.  

Currently, through Urban Spaces, Sorigué is responsible for maintaining air conditioning and hot water systems in administrative, social, and cultural centres in Girona city. Additionally, the group oversees the adaptation and maintenance of public housing in the municipality of Salt to ensure habitability and safety standards.  

From the Water division, Sorigué, in a joint venture with DAM, manages the wastewater treatment plant in Santa Coloma de Farners, serving a population of over 14,500 inhabitants. Meanwhile, the Building division continues to develop residential real estate solutions, such as the recently delivered La Devesa urbanization and Mas Quintana, planned for 2026.  

Additionally, Sorigué and Rubau produce asphalt mixtures and pave roads in the province of Girona under the specialized brand Neovia.
