CLD obtains Social Responsibility certification

March 21, 2018

The waste management company from the Sorigué group has obtained the IQNet SR10 certificate. This comes as the company Acsa, Obras e Infraestructuras has renewed its certification.

CLD, one of the Sorigué companies specializing in waste management, has demonstrated proper integration of social responsibility management in all its business processes. The organization has received the AENOR Social Responsibility certification in accordance with the IQNet SR10 international standard.

In addition, Acsa, Obras e Infraestructuras has renewed the same certification, which it obtained in January 2017.

IQNet SR10 is the first international standard for social responsibility management systems. It was developed by IQNet, the world’s largest certification network, whose Spanish member is AENOR.

During the certification process, the first CLD Sustainability Report was also created. It was the group’s first carried out under GRI standards, which represent best practices at the global level for informing the public about the economic, environmental and social impacts of an organization. The report has also been verified by the auditing company, AENOR.

This verification provides a high level of guarantee and thoroughness to the Sustainability Report, in addition to improving the quality, usefulness, and credibility of the information used internally and in the company’s management processes.

These certifications formalize the importance that Sorigué places on sustainability, its effort to promote sustainable development, and its commitment to establishing a culture of integrity and transparency.

The company CLD, acquired by the Sorigué group in March 2016, was founded in 1930 and is one of the first environmental operators in Catalonia. It has dedicated over 85 years to urban service management. Currently, it fulfills municipal service contracts in more than 70 locations in Catalonia and Andorra.
