EMASA has structured its maintenance and conservation service for the drinking water network in seven parts: connections and supplies, piping, faults and incident response, civil works, surface elements, auxiliary works and cuts.

Work on the drinking water network connections consists of repairing all faults affecting EMASA’s network and is therefore unscheduled work. It also includes the connection of new buildings and facilities to the network to serve subscribers. In this case, the work is scheduled and is divided into several phases:

installation of the pipes, installation of flow meters and construction of manholes. It also includes the connection and/or disconnection of outlets, the installation or replacement of meters, and the suspension or return of supply.

The maintenance of mains water piping includes programmed works for the renovation of pipes and/or the installation of new pipes made from different types of materials with various diameters.
