The Móra d’Ebre County Hospital requires a full-scale renovation to establish itself as a leading healthcare facility in the Ribera d’Ebre region and throughout the province of Tarragona.
Thanks to this intervention, the new surgical block now features three state-of-the-art operating theatres and a modern recovery unit.
The project included a complete overhaul of the operating theatres, clinical areas, and technical zones, along with the full replacement and modernisation of all electrical systems, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, and medical gas installations.
Through advanced construction solutions, the renovation has achieved significant improvements in energy efficiency, accessibility, safety, and the overall functionality of the healthcare centre.

Electrical installations
- Complete renewal of electrical panels, wiring, LED lighting, and emergency systems.
- Replacement of standalone LED emergency luminaires with centralised monitoring.

Reconfiguration of networks, centralisation of supply, and enhanced control in operating theatres and critical areas.

Integration of air-source heat pumps or solar panels for domestic hot water (DHW) production and energy support.

- Integration of voice, data, and IP systems with reorganised cabling and racks.
- Installation of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems connected to the Building Management System (BMS).

Replacement of equipment, ductwork, diffusers, and controls with efficient systems.
