The Materials area of the group has participated with its Calcel Rob draining surfaces in the execution of the new mobility routes for pedestrians, bicycles and public transport on the Rambla d’Aragó and the Prat de la Riba avenue, in the city of Lleida.
Sorigué has participated in the works to optimise the mobility of two iconic streets in the city of Lleida, Rambla d’Aragó and Avinguda Prat de la Riba, through the application of its draining surface solution, Calcel Rob.
The work lasted 6 months and consisted of the construction of new routes for pedestrians, bicycles and public transport. As part of this project, the Materials area of the business group was responsible for the renovation of the pavement.
In total, it has applied 600 m² of Calcel Rob, a draining mixture developed by Calcel, the Sorigué brand specialising in pavement and road repair products, from selected aggregate.
The application of Calcel Rob has been one of the major improvements carried out in this intervention. The draining characteristics of this material allow rainwater to dissipate from the surface of the pavement, preventing the collapse of the rainwater collection system. This also prevents soil degradation and contamination due to the dragging of materials, as well as the resulting impact on traffic.

The permeable capacity of Calcel Rob is 870 litres per square metre per minute, making it a suitable pavement for use in Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS). Another advantage of this product is its durability and ease of maintenance.
In addition, Calcel Rob stands out for its sustainability, as it is made from local materials that have been treated in an environmentally friendly way and with a reduction of CO2 emissions in its production.
