Sorigué takes part in the project on pavement-tyre adherence

November 7, 2019

The objective is to further develop the design of pavements, the capacity to predict the behaviour of the whole and improved tools for measuring it.

Sorigué, in collaboration with divisions of the Applus+ group, IDIADA and Energy & Industry, takes part in the project “Future Roads Energy and Adherence Knowledge”.

The project aims to expand knowledge on the processes of pavement-tyre adhesion during different service conditions- The objective of this consortium is to further develop the design of pavements, the capacity to predict the behaviour of the whole and improved tools for measuring it.

The initial stage of the project consists of two phases, during which a wide range of tests on different pavements are carried out on test tracks and open traffic roadways.

An analysis of the information obtained and the knowledge generated will allow researchers to set the bases for subsequent stages, which will be focused on pavement optimisation, adhesion measurement systems and elements affecting the vehicle-pavement system.
