Sorigué has begun work on the construction of a new park at the central offices of Canal de Isabel II, located in the Chamberí district of Madrid and adjacent to the streets Bravo Murillo and José Abascal.
Canal de Isabel II has allocated 1,183,296.30 euros to the construction of this new space, which has been designed as an open access zone with green spaces, children’s play areas and outdoor sports facilities. It will have a total surface area of 3,745 m2.
The works began on 24 July and have a 12-month completion period. During this time, an area with informational banners about the project will be put in place, in addition to digital activities that are accessible with a QR code, so that citizens can take a virtual tour of the future park.
The works include the replacement of the existing enclosure of the central office section, spanning 500 metres, in an attempt to unify this section with the other green areas of Canal de Isabel II.

Canal de Isabel II is the public company that manages the comprehensive water cycle in the Community of Madrid. For many years now, the company has opened its facilities to the public through parks and leisure and sports areas, like the one that Sorigué has now begun building.

Sorigué, through its company Acsa, Obras e Infraestructuras, has been performing services and works for Canal de Isabel II for over 30 years. These include contracts that are currently ongoing, such as: urgent works, maintenance and repair of malfunctions in the supply and regenerated water distribution networks of the Jarama Division; renovation works on the supply network in the city of Madrid, as well as in towns of the autonomous community like Alpedrete, Soto del Real, Batres, Navalagamella and Torrelodones; and facility maintenance and civil works in the Water Treatment and Groundwater Exploitation Divisions, among others.

Last November, Sorigué inaugurated its new headquarters in Madrid, in the Vicálvaro district, thus strengthening its position in the central and southern regions of Spain as part of its effort to boost turnover in the next three years.
