Sorigué receives the ECCAT 2025 award for ‘Promotion of the Profession’
The Catalan Association of Technical Engineers in Public Works and Civil Engineering (ECCAT) recognises Sorigué’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and the promotion of professional talent in the private sector.
El Colegio de Ingeniería Técnica de Obras Públicas y de Ingeniería Civil de Catalunya (The Catalan Association of Technical Engineers in Public Works and Civil Engineering (ECCAT) has awarded Sorigué the ‘Promotion of the Profession’ prize in the ‘private company’ category.
In its minutes, the Association’s governing board highlighted Sorigué’s commitment “to innovation, sustainability and the promotion of professional talent in the private sector amongst civil engineers, as well as technical engineers specialising in public works”. En su acta, la junta de gobierno del Colegio ha hecho énfasis en la apuesta de Sorigué “por la innovación, la sostenibilidad y la promoción del talento profesional en el sector privado de los ingenieros e ingenieras civiles, así como de ingenieros e ingenieras técnicos de obras públicas”.
La entidad ha destacado la contribución empresarial del grupo al “desarrollo de soluciones técnicas complejas poniendo siempre en valor la excelencia profesional y promoviendo puestos de trabajo inclusivos e integradores”.The organisation has highlighted the group’s business contribution to “the development of complex technical solutions, whilst consistently prioritising professional excellence and promoting inclusive and integrative workplaces”.
José Manuel Pardo Losada, jefe de grupo Asfaltos Catalunya, ha recogido el premio en nombre de Sorigué expresando su agradecimiento al Colegio porque “vuestra confianza nos permite poder seguir desarrollando nuestro compromiso con la sostenibilidad y la innovación”.José Manuel Pardo Losada, group manager at Asfaltos Catalunya, accepted the award on behalf of Sorigué, expressing his gratitude to the Association, since “your trust enables us to continue developing our commitment to sustainability and innovation”.
This award was presented at ECCAT’s annual gala, held on 18 December at the Abba-Sants Hotel in Barcelona, where the awards recognise individuals and organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to the profession.
The 2025 edition also honoured Miguel Galvarriato Serra, executive chairman of Aigües del Segarra Garrigues, for his professional career in the management of major infrastructure projects and regional development; Ángel Gonzalo López, for his work in teaching, and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) for promoting the profession within the public sector.
