Construction of the Sax Auditorium, Alicante

The Sax Municipal Government, with support from the Alicante Provincial Council, aims to complete the Casa de la Cultura project. In this phase, a multipurpose hall functioning as an auditorium is being built, with a capacity for 470 people and the technical specifications required to host high-level competitions and events.​
 
The entire ground floor of the building is being fully remodelled to create the auditorium, the entrance lobby, circulation areas, dressing rooms, restrooms, and other supporting spaces for performing arts activities. 
 

The project includes the construction of an acoustic shell featuring a complex geometry and specialised cladding to meet the technical demands of musical events.
 
One of the major challenges of the project has been building a metal substructure to support this acoustic shell, as the technical gallery – housing lighting, projection, and sound equipment, along with the control room – has been concealed inside it.​
