Sorigué wins the Dircom Award for its sustainability report

June 30, 2021

The non-financial information report produced annually by the group confirms its commitment to developing a responsible business with the intention of meeting the sustainability standards demanded by society and the business environment.

Sorigué came in first place in the Sustainability Report category of the Dircom Ramón del Corral Awards, awarded by Dircom, the Association of Directors of Communication, for its 2019 Non-Financial Information Report (NFIR). This award recognises the group's work in communicating its commitment to sustainability in all its aspects in a transparent and efficient manner.

In this 4th edition, the communication awards in Spain par excellence awarded 24 projects among the 213 nominations received.

The awards have put special focus on people and social action in an exceptional year in which communication has been more present than ever, recognising best practices in internal communication, crisis communication, purpose and brand communication and sustainability, among others.

Sorigué was recognised in the area of sustainability and ESG in the "Sustainability Report" category, in which it competed alongside Aqualia and the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona.

In addition, the business group was a finalist in the "Corporate Video" digital multimedia category for its project "Communication: Sorigué’s strategic objective".

A key communication tool for Sorigué

Sorigué began producing annual sustainability reports in 2014 in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and Law 11/2018 of 28 December on non-financial information and diversity. This became structured as a Non-Financial Information Report (NFIR) in 2018.

The 2019 NFIR, presented by Sorigué in June 2020, compiles the group's economic, environmental and social performance of the previous year. This report also works in line with the Group's current 2020 Strategic Plan, whose motto is "Shared Value".
