The Generalitat de Catalunya awards the four-year contract for the conservation of 268.876 kilometres of road to the Sorigué Group company Acsa Conservación.
From April 2022 and over the next four years, Sorigué’s Conservation business line will take on the road conservation tasks for the West Barcelona area.
The contract is for 268.876 kilometres of single and dual carriageway covering both interurban and urban sections, awarded by the Department of the Vice-Presidency and of Digital and Territorial Policies of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Valued at €21,526,033.41, the contract covers all planning, execution and supervision of the various infrastructure components.
Among the 35 roads subject to intervention are the C-58, which provides access to Barcelona from the north-west; the C-32, which runs parallel to the Mediterranean coast; and the C-1413a, which leads to several towns in the Vallés region.
The service includes road surveillance and assistance operations through the Conservation and Communications Centre, as well as the implementation of the GSM system for optimum coverage.
Road support services are provided throughout the year, including specific tasks to ensure winter maintenance.
In addition, the service attends emergencies and repairs to lighting installations and traffic light control and includes maintenance and repair operations for road components.
The planning, monitoring and control tasks include establishing and updating inventories and condition checks. Work scheduling is also carried out, with the appropriate monitoring of the execution and achievement of results.
