Sorigué promotes the construction of a student residence in Segovia
The new building, a student residence that will have 95 rooms, represents a new concept of urban residence, modern and elegant in an international environment, which will allow students to foster social activity in the historic centre of Segovia.
The Sorigué group promotes the project and the turnkey construction of a student residence in Segovia, which will be located within the walled enclosure and in the vicinity of the International University of the Instituto de Empresa (IE University).
The new building will have 95 rooms, 86 parking spaces and 57 storage rooms. One of the objectives of the future residence is to allow students to develop their social life around this space and to promote the economic activity of the centre of Segovia.
The IE University campus covers 18,000 m² and is located in a historic building of the city: the Convent of Santa Cruz la Real, declared national heritage in 1931.
Seventy-four percent of the students hosted on the campus are international, bringing together students from more than 86 different nationalities. The residence will be operated by the management company Mi Casa Inn, a brand of urban student residences that forms part of ColivINN, the first global operator of co-livings specialised by thematic verticals.
Mi Casa Inn currently manages 10 residences in Madrid, one recently opened in Zaragoza, two in Salamanca and another in Segovia, in addition to the one to be built by Sorigué, with a total of more than 3,000 beds planned for 2023 and upcoming openings in other cities.
