Sorigué and CLD receive the seal given by the city of Barcelona to organizations that promote equal opportunities

June 4, 2018

The distinctive Làbora seal recognizes organizations, entities, and businesses that participate in the program of the same name. It is promoted by the Barcelona City Council and works to promote jobs and help people in vulnerable situations access the labor market.

The Sorigué business group and CLD, its company specializing in waste management, have received the Làbora seal which recognizes the companies and organizations that actively collaborate in the Làbora program. This public-social cooperation project is promoted by the Barcelona City Council through the Instituto Municipal de Servicios Sociales [Municipal Institute of Social Services] (IMSS) and Barcelona Activa, and is managed in collaboration with Entidades Catalanas de Acción Social [Catalan Entities for Social Action] (ECAS), Empresas de Inserción de Catalunya [Integration Companies of Catalonia] (FEICAT), and the Red Cross.

The Làbora program aims to promote jobs and help people in vulnerable situations become more employable. The project helps companies and organizations to access a pool of candidates, which they can search for the profile that best suits their hiring needs. Làbora offers companies a program with social commitment and responsibility that favors equal opportunities among the general public.

Networking session

This distinction was received on May 14 during the fourth edition of the Espai Làbora, which took place in the El Born Cultural Center. The purpose of this event is for attending businesses to meet participants in the program.

Over 100 collaborating businesses and organizations received this seal, including Urbaser, Aigües de Barcelona, Bigas Grup, Construcciones Rubau, Copisa, Fira de Barcelona, Catalana Occidente, Mapfre, and Saba.

During this event, Sorigué and CLD Human Resources staff had the opportunity to interview a variety of candidates, both to fill job positions and to join the organization’s job pool.
