Sorigué strengthens its governance system with the new Internal Information Channel

November 6, 2023

The tool can be used by people inside or outside the organisation for making suggestions or reporting regulatory violations.

Sorigué has implemented an Internal Information Channel that enables anyone inside or outside the group to make suggestions, leave comments or anonymously report regulatory violations. The tool was developed in response to Spanish Law 2/2023 of 20 February on the protection of people who report regulatory violations and on combating corruption.

This system was created in 2016, called the Ethics Channel, and since it was launched it has enabled the group to manage over 150 incidents, which have led to the improvement of procedures and activities, providing Sorigué with a powerful governance management tool. In June 2023, the Ethics Channel’s name was changed to the Internal Information Channel and it was updated to meet the demands of the latest regulations.

How it works
Through the Internal Information Channel, users can inform the group about employment, criminal or administrative offences, as well as any conduct that may violate the group’s Ethical Code. It can also be used to send any suggestions and comments that may be of interest.

The system guarantees confidentiality of information and, if the informant wishes, they may remain entirely anonymous.

The public, as in people who do not work for the organisation, may access the Internal Information Channel via the menu at the top of the Sorigué website: https://www.sorigue.com/es/negocio-responsable/canal-interno-de-informacion.

The email address cumplimiento@sorigue.com can also be used for asking any questions about how the tool works.

Governance System

As part of its commitment to social sustainability, Sorigué is working to consolidate a governance system based on the Corporate Compliance structure, a risk management system that goes beyond the criminal sphere, committed to a comprehensive model that can make an impact on prevention, improvement of internal procedures and quality control. Within this context, the Internal Information Channel constitutes a very effective tool for detecting and correcting failures.

The Sorigué group is made up of over 20 active companies, with a responsible growth model based on innovation, knowledge management and sustainability. A benchmark in urban services, the water cycle, infrastructure and materials, construction and energy, the group operates throughout Spain.
