Sorigué presents its sustainable solutions for cities at Municipalia 2021

October 15, 2021

In this edition, Sorigué presents a conference program that brings together leading voices in the sector to discuss sustainable cities, the circular economy, and urban innovation. The lecture that opens the conference cycle will be delivered by Vicente Guallart, architect and founder of the IAAC, under the title: “The Zero-Emission City: The New European Paradigm.”

The Sorigué business group once again participates in a new edition of Municipalia, the international trade fair for municipal equipment and services, held from October 19 to 21 at Fira de Lleida, with an indoor stand in pavilion 3, number 370, and an outdoor stand in space E63.

Sorigué’s presence at Municipalia aims to highlight the company’s experience in city services under criteria of sustainability and efficiency. Through its different strategic plans, the group has consolidated a responsible business model that addresses growth through knowledge generation, via innovation and digitalization, and environmental and social commitment.

The group has organized a conference program for the three days of the trade fair to share its knowledge. The presentations are delivered by various specialists, both external and professionals from the group. The conferences revolve around three main axes: sustainable cities, circular economy, and urban innovation, and address topics such as nature and urban biodiversity, sustainable solutions in pavements, and new practices in waste management. The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Vicente Guallart, architect and founder of the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), under the title “The Zero-Emission City: The New European Paradigm.” The conference will be introduced by the President of the Sorigué Group, Ana Vallés.

At its outdoor stand, Sorigué features a space dedicated to demonstrations and practical applications of its products from the Materials area, especially its asphalt solutions and precast concrete pavements. On this occasion, it also presents the photovoltaic pavement developed together with the Hungarian company Platio to generate energy by applying criteria of sustainability, energy efficiency, and low environmental impact. Alongside these demonstrations, the company presents the services of Hidrojet, its brand specialized in the maintenance of sanitation networks and technical cleaning. In this way, a space is dedicated to showcasing technical solutions for urban and industrial sanitation.

The company’s innovative vocation promotes the development of high value-added products, as well as the design and implementation of sustainable solutions for cities.

In addition, in this edition the business group reduces the carbon footprint generated by its participation in the trade fair. Sorigué has installed low-energy electrical systems in its two stands. Furthermore, in both spaces it has opted for the use of recycled materials and for the reuse of materials and/or equipment used in previous events. Finally, at this trade fair the group eliminates paper and carries out all its communication through digital and audiovisual formats.

Municipalia celebrates its 21st edition as a benchmark fair in the areas of municipal urban equipment and services, environment, waste treatment, and solutions for public administrations. The trade fair has become an essential meeting point between city councils and leading companies in the sector to share and promote the best solutions for municipal management. Thanks to this exchange, innovative proposals are driven for the creation of more efficient, intelligent, safe, sustainable, and human cities that improve citizens’ quality of life.
