Sorigué executes the final phase of construction of the first official LaLiga and NBA centre in Spain

May 19, 2021

The project, created and developed by T3N SPORT AND INVESTMENT and ColivINN (the world's leading coliving operator), trusts Sorigué as the construction company, with the financial support of Global Realty Capital and the advice of PWC's Corporate Finance / M&A team.

Madrid, 19 May 2021 – The Sorigué business group has been awarded the contract for the construction of the complex, which entered its final phase of execution this May.  The first official LaLiga and NBA centre will open its doors in Madrid in summer 2022.

As already announced by both institutions in November 2020, the two leading global sports brands are joining forces for the first time in history, together with the sports and investment consultancy T3N SPORT AND INVESTMENT in a project for the construction of a unique educational and residential sports facility to become the official centre of both institutions in Spain.

This new space will promote the development of all the projects of both institutions at national and international level and will have the first coliving in Europe specialised for sportspeople and people related to sport.

The project, created and developed by T3N SPORT AND INVESTMENT and ColivINN (the world's leading coliving operator), trusts Sorigué as the construction company, with the financial support of Global Realty Capital and the advice of PWC's Corporate Finance / M&A team.

The ambitious 42,000 square metre project, which will be built by Sorigué, is a pioneer in the world of real estate and the sports-education sector, and was created with the aim of covering the new realities of elite sports clubs and the new training models that are evolving in an increasingly transversal and global market.

The sports facilities will consist of FIFA-standard professional pitches, swimming pools and two main buildings. One will be dedicated to a multi-sports hall under NBA specifications, which can also be adapted for sports such as handball, badminton, volleyball, fencing and others. The other building will house a specialised gymnasium for high performance, as well as auxiliary spaces (changing rooms, physio-nursing room, storerooms and cafeteria) and a retractable grandstand.

The project is at the disposal of the entire sport and education industry to offer a 360º service, where education, sport and coliving are integrated into one complex. The complex will also serve as a technological HUB for all companies in the innovation industry for the development of projects that improve sports performance.

LaLiga and the NBA consider sports training to be as important as education, and for this reason Sorigué is also building an educational centre that will consist of a building with classrooms divided into two floors that can accommodate up to 450 students, and where secondary school, international baccalaureate, American baccalaureate and postgraduate courses will be taught. Part of LaLiga Business School will also move.

In addition to the buildings used for teaching, the facilities will have a coliving space for athletes who do not live in Madrid. All rooms will be outward facing with views of green areas, equipped with en-suite bathroom, study area, TV and WiFi. There will be capacity to accommodate 450 colivers.
