February 3, 2020

The president of Sorigué presented the company’s responsible growth strategy at the launch of BforPlanet, the new event by Fira Barcelona. The initiative aims to promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Ana Vallés, president of Sorigué, participated this Thursday the 30th in the presentation of BforPlanet, a new initiative by Fira Barcelona. The meeting, which brought together representatives from the private and public sectors, included the participation of the vice president and minister for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera; the regional minister of Territory and Sustainability, Damià Calvet; and the deputy mayor for Economy of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni.

During her speech, the minister stated that “we have an agenda set for the next ten years,” as the government is aware that failing to meet the SDGs could entail “serious risks for the global economy.”
For her part, Ana Vallés had the opportunity to explain the key elements of the group’s strategy, which under the motto “Shared Value” aims at the company’s sustainable growth through three key pillars: talent, knowledge and positioning.

“We are aware that we are going through a complex moment; therefore, we are committed to working for a sustainable economy, more social, more committed and responsible, inclusive and collaborative. This shared value is not an option, it is an obligation,” Vallés stated.

The BforPlanet event, which will take place from May 26 to 28, 2020, has the support of the Government of Spain, the Government of Catalonia and the Barcelona City Council.

At the presentation held on January 31 at the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, more than 600 people attended, representing the business sector and public administrations. Some of the companies that participated included Agbar, Basf, Bayer, CaixaBank, FC Barcelona, Toyota, Nissan, Mango, Vueling, Vodafone and Renfe, among others.
