Refurbishment and conservation of public spaces in the district of Moncloa - Aravaca

Refurbishment and renovation of different public spaces in the Moncloa–Aravaca district of Madrid, for greater accessibility and to improve their visual and ornamental appearance.

The works consist of the renovation of Parque de la Bombilla, Plaza Corona Boreal and Parque de las Siete Cabras, in the Madrid district of Moncloa–Aravaca.

The refurbishment has improved accessibility and landscaping in these urban spaces, thanks to the creation of new green areas, new areas for sitting, pedestrian routes and the renovation of the existing paving. 
 
The works carried out included:

·       Removal and demolition of the existing pavement.
·       Paving in 8 cm printed asphalt agglomerate of in red and with COMPOTOP system epoxy acrylic mortar.
·       Replacement of type IV kerbstones.
·       Paving of pavements with imitation granite concrete slabs, red hydraulic paving stones, grooved and button tiles.

·       Creation of a children’s area, an area for the elderly and a recreational area. 
·       Installation of new landscaped areas with grass lawns, shrub beds, perimeter hedges and stepped planters.
·       Installation and extension of irrigation network.
·       Replacement of street furniture.
·       Construction of new drainage network.
·       Replacement of sodium-vapour lamps with LED lamps.

This project is part of the Framework Agreement for refurbishment, repair and conservation works for all the public buildings and spaces under the authority of the Moncloa-Aravaca District (Section 4).
