Sorigué joins the Circular Economy Pact

The business group’s company Acsa, Obras e Infraestructuras, S.A.U. has signed the pioneering European agreement, which has been promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment and the Ministry of Economy and Industry.

This January, the company Acsa, Obras e Infraestructuras, S.A.U has joined the Circular Economy Pact 2018-2020, a pioneering European initiative that promotes the commitment of all parties involved in the transition toward a circular economy in Spain.

The agreement has been promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food, and the Environment, and the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Competitiveness, and is considered good business practice at European Union level.

The organizations and companies that have joined the agreement that promotes a new economic model agree to reduce the use of non-renewable natural resources; promote analysis of the product life cycle and the incorporation of eco-design criteria; seek patterns that increase innovation and global efficiency in productive processes; and promote innovative forms of sustainable consumption, among other measures.

During the first quarter of this year, the Sorigué group company will specify a series of indicators that will help establish progress made with regard to the commitments.

More than 230 Spanish companies and organizations have already registered for this initiative, including Urbaser, Repsol, Gas Natural Fenosa, Ferrovial, FCC Construcci
