Artificial washed gravel is produced by grinding larger fractions of natural siliceous aggregate from the Zuera gravel pit, which are is screened and washed.
During the production process, screening provides an even size and washing provides a no-fine grain size, making it ideal for use as gravel in asphalt spraying.
Absence of fines mean the aggregate has an excellent cleaning coefficient, thus optimising adherence of the hydrocarbon binder to the aggregate and obtaining a perfect coating.
